My daughter-in- law LOVES-LOVES- LOVES hot chocolate! She and I tried the famous crock pot hot chocolate everyone loves, but we were very disappointed. Just not enough flavor! We took that recipe and “fixed” it. We used milk instead of water, and added a better quality chocolate and a bit of cream. Hope you love it as much as we do.
Crock Pot Hot Chocolate
1 ½ Cups heavy cream
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
6 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 oz. dark chocolate bar broken into small pieces
4 oz. semi-sweet OR milk chocolate bar broken into small pieces
Put all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir before each serving. Garnish with real whipped cream or marshmallows.
*You could also just heat in a saucepan and heat on low for ½ hour but stir often.
