My son brought this recipe with him when he and his family came for a visit. My husband loves

Salmon; he could live in Washington State and eat it every day. I am not as crazy about salmon, so I made this with cod for me. It was awesome and we will be making it again soon!

Asian Glazed Salmon

½ Cup Brown Sugar

1/3 Cup Soy Sauce

2 Tablespoon Hoisin Sauce

2 Tablespoon minced Fresh Ginger

¼ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes or

1 teaspoon Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce

1 teaspoon minced Garlic

1 teaspoon Lime Zest or Orange Zest

1 Tablespoon Fresh Lime Juice or Orange Juice

1 Pound Salmon Fillets or Cod

1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds

Place the sugar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, red pepper flakes, garlic, zest, and lime juice

into a medium saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil and then simmer for 5 minutes. Keep sauce on very low simmer while salmon cooks.

Spray a broiler pan with “Pam” and place salmon filets onto broiler pan, skin down.

Baste the meat with sauce. Let sauce sit on the fish for 5-10 minutes to allow the sauce to go into the meat.

Preheat the oven broiler.

Broil them until about 4 minutes and turn over. Broil about 2 minutes and peel away the skin. Baste and broil another 4 minutes.

Fish will flake easily when done.

Remove from heat and baste once more before serving and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Serve with white or brown rice and use the remaining sauce over the rice.

This would be good on a barbeque grill too.

*To make this recipe Gluten Free use Gluten Free Soy Sauce and leave out the Hoisin Sauce.
