Peach Season means Peach Shakes at the Dairy Keen. This Peach Dump Cake is so wonderful, especially when camping and made in a Dutch Oven. It is also easy to make at home and you can pretend you are camping.
Serves 12-14
4-6 Cups of Fresh Peaches (about 5 large peaches)
½ Cup Sugar
½ Cup Water
(Optional use 32 oz. of canned peaches in place of the fresh peaches, sugar, and water. Drain slightly)
1 Box (15.25 ounce) Vanilla or Yellow Cake Mix
½ Cup Butter, cut into 16 pieces
2 teaspoons Cinnamon mixed with 2 Tablespoon Sugar
Sweetened Whipped Cream or Ice Cream For serving
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.
Peel and slice the peaches and place in a medium sized bowl. Add sugar and water. Stir to combine.
Pour peaches into a 9X13 pan and spread out evenly.
Sprinkle the DRY cake mix all over the peaches.
Add the butter pieces on top of the dry cake mix. Space them out evenly.
Sprinkle with Cinnamon Sugar mixture.
Bake for 45 minutes or until bubble and golden. Remove from the oven and let set up for about 10 minutes. (If you can wait that long, LOL.) Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
