SEASONING SALT

I was looking for something different to make for neighbor gifts. I was trying to make something

that wasn’t just another cookie or candy. I wanted it to be something unique, and Gluten Free, and that everyone could use even after the holiday.

I have been working on a seasoning salt recipe for a few months now and decided to package it up for Christmas. It tastes great on chicken, burgers, steaks, pork, or stews. I made up a larger batch, put it into pretty shakers, put a ribbon on the neck of the bottle, and attached the recipe along my bad pun of “hope you enjoy the ‘season’ salt”. I hope you like it too. If you want to make it just for you, make the smaller batch.

SEASONING SALT

1 ½ Cups Salt

¼ Cup White or Black Pepper

¼ Cup Sugar

2 Tablespoons Paprika

2 Tablespoons Onion Powder

2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder

1 Tablespoon Dry Mustard

1 Tablespoons Summer Savory or Dried Parsley

Put the Summer Savory or Parsley into a mortar and pestle and grind so it will go through the holes in your shaker.

In a medium bowl add all ingredients and blend until combined. Makes 2 Cups. With a funnel fill spice containers.

To make small single shaker batch to see if you like it to be a bit different.

SEASONING SALT

2 Tablespoon Salt

1 teaspoon White or Black Pepper

1 teaspoons Sugar

½ teaspoon Paprika

½ teaspoon Onion powder

½ teaspoon Garlic powder

¼ teaspoon Dry mustard

¼ teaspoon Summer Savory or Dried Parsley, grind to make smaller

Merry Christmas to all. Hope you all enjoy the “season” salt.
