Jar-Cuterie

I think that Charcuteries always look awesome BUT I never have enough people to

make such a big board of snacks. I also hate that the first person gets their favorite

items and makes the board look messy. I also like to keep things from cross

contamination because I have to have Gluten Free, and my friend is a Vegetarian. I

made this for New Year’s Eve, and it was perfect. I decorated it with some fancy

skewers to add to the celebrations. You could also cut the cheese into fun shapes, like

footballs or hearts.

I found online an idea for “Jar”cuteries. You put all the items you want into small jars,

so everyone gets their own jar. This will be perfect for the super bowl. I think 8 oz. wide

mouth jelly jars, or on the “On-the-rocks” glasses, or 6-8 oz. paper cups will be perfect.

JAR-CUTERIES APPETIZERS

8 Small short Cups and Long Skewers or Toothpicks

16 ounces assorted hard cheeses or Cheese Sticks

24 Slices/ pieces of cured meats (ham, pepperoni, salami, or prosciutto)

16 Long crackers or skinny bread sticks

1 Cup Berries of your choice, I like Strawberries or Blueberries as they Don’t go soft.

½ Cup Grapes

½ Cup Olives

1 Cup Nuts of your choice

8 sprigs of fresh herbs for garnish

Fill each jar with some of each item. Place first from the back using tall ingredients.

Use your toothpicks or skewers to put like things together, i.e. grapes together with

berries, olives and cheese, meat and cheese put onto skewer so it will stand up.

Fill with other ingredients to hold things together.

Garnish with sprigs of fresh herbs. Makes 8 servings.
